### How much is a taxi from Madrid airport to the city centre?

### What if I'm going outside the M-30?

The meter runs on Tarifa 3, starting at €22.00 for the first 9 km. The Madrid-Barajas page lists typical fares.

### Why did my taxi from Atocha start at a higher fare?

From the Atocha, Chamartín, Méndez Álvaro and Avenida de América ranks and IFEMA, the meter starts at €8.00, but that includes the first 1.45 km.

### Do I pay extra for luggage?

No. Madrid has no luggage, airport or station supplements; the only extra is on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve nights.
